Original ignition suitable for scooters with a 50cc GY6 4-stroke engine block. Ignition is supplied complete with stator and flywheel.
Check the photo for the correct ignition (type with 2 insulated coils and 3 pin plug).

How does a 4-stroke engine work

A 4-stroke engine has 4 strokes where the heat is used through combustion to turn the rear wheel. First, the mixture of oxygen and gasoline enters the cylinder through the inlet valve, this comes from the carburetor. This mixture is then compressed and combustion occurs via a spark from the spark plug. The resulting heat pushes the piston downwards with force. When the piston rises again, it pushes the burnt gases out of the cylinder through the exhaust valve and the whole process can start again, 1000th times per minute.
