Injector operation:

The fuel injector doses the exact amount of fuel required per power stroke and injects it into the mixing chamber.
The injector consists of a needle that is closed by a spring in its rest position. If a voltage is applied to the coil surrounding the injector needle, the needle will open against the spring pressure due to a strong magnetic field.
